Ummm, can we all talk about how January took forever and February just flew by?
Like, I swear I just toasted to the new year and planned out my new year resolutions yesterday??
Guys!! I turn 24 this month and I’m kind of freaking out about it.
Every time I say that – I get such a hard time from people older than me LOL!
I can’t help it. I know it’s still SO young, but I’m kind of feeling the pressure. Pressure to have my life figured out.
Maybe this is just my hormones speaking, but HELLO 24 is an inch closer to getting married and having babies. I’m not ready for all of that!! I’m still living at home with my parents, OMG!!
Before I have a panic attack about turnning 24, lets get into today’s topic – My March Intentions.
1.The Early Bird Gets the Worm – every successful person knows that
I used to be the biggest early person in college. I’m talking getting up at 5am, slamming in a workout at 6AM no matter what and making it to class at 8AM. I have no idea what happened between now and then, but I am far from that person. Now, I snooze my alarm 10 times before I crawl out of bed to quickly put on clothes and race out the door – late to work.
EW. I hate being that person. (Almost) every successful person gets up early. Most start their day with a morning routine before jumping into work to stay grounded. I’m changing this awful habit this month. No more snoozing. It’s time to get up and begin my day with my morning routine.
2. Budget – because you don’t need the extra things
I’m moving out my parent’s house before summer so saving is like MAJOR right now. I want to keep a close eye on my spending. Sadly, that means no more brunch dates, coffee dates etc. I’ve got to tone it back on the eating out. Even with being on the semi-elemental diet, I still eat out for my last meal, a SIBO friendly meal of course! So it’s time to stop. Dates with friends will be looking more like walks, hikes and class pass.
3. Life is good – be positive
Life is sooooo good. Yet, I catch myself complaining or being negative over the silliest things. Again, a habit that is subconsciously affecting not only my mood, but the person I’m complaining to! I want to nip this one in the butt. To help, I’m going to flood myself with gratitude every morning. I will take 5-10 minute jotting down in a journal everything I’m grateful for.
4. Drink more water – because it’s the best thing for you
Water promotes healing. It helps the body properly break down food, it boosts your metabolism and flushes out toxins. I want to make drinking 3 liters a priority in my day.
5. Embrace 24 – I am where I’m supposed to be
Like I said, I’m a little fearful of turning 24 at the end of the month. I know life has a plan for me and I am where I am for a reason so I want to embrace it. Instead of fearing the unknown, I need to take it by the reins and turn 24 with confidence.
Love your March Intentions, I need to make them mine also. Thank you for the reminder to live my life to the fullest each day…and not take one moment for granted. XOXO
