Strawberry Chocolate Chip Smoothie Recipe

As I write this delicious recipe, I happen to be sipping my strawberry chocolate chip smoothie. And man oh man, is it good!

I can’t wait to share with you this simple and easy recipe. It tastes so good, it’s hard to believe it’s healthy.

This smoothie is also perfect for kids! If they are craving a shake, hand them one of these instead. They will hardly know the difference.

It is soo satisfying…

It’s even Trevor approved… he describes this smoothie as refreshing, delicious, fruity, crunchy and creamy! So if you’re trying to make something yummy for your significant other, try this recipe!

Here are the benefits to this healthy recipe:

Strawberries: Full of vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants.

Cacao Nibs: Exceptionally rich in antioxidants (which reduces stress and inflammation).

Bananas: Rich in potassium – helps regulate the movement of nutrients and waste products in and out of cells.

Almond Butter: a great source of vitamin E, magnesium, copper, vitamin B2 (riboflavin), and phosphorous.

Collagen peptides: Helps hair and nails, gut health, brain health and weightless.

Other ways to limit the sugar and make this strawberry chocolate chip recipe low glycemic, is by removing the banana and replacing it with a 1/4-1/2 an avocado and 1 tsp of yacon.

Yacon is a syrup full of antioxidants and potassium. It’s effective against constipation and may lower blood sugar levels. It doesn’t spike your blood sugar like banana does. It’s a great alternative.

(Let me know if you enjoy reading all of the benefits to these recipes! I will continue to include them if you find them interesting!)

Yes, I love knowing how healthy it is. It encourages me to make it. Otherwise, it just looks too rich, to be that healthy. I am making this tomorrow. where can I purchase the vital proteins peptides?

  2. Shylah says:

Yay! I’m happy you love! You can get the collagen peptides at Sprouts, WholeFoods, Lazy Acres or any health food store. I’ve also linked it in the blog – amazon is my go-to!
